Firstly, welcome to my very own website! Thank you for visiting and taking the time to read my very first blog post. I hope you enjoy the website just as much as I do!
So the title of this blog means a lot to me and in one of my recent Instagram posts, you probably all know why. About 15 months ago my beautiful Mum, Sharyn Geoghegan, was diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma. It has been a massive roller coaster ride of emotions and events, one of which we got told she only had 48 hours to live. As you can imagine this was one of the worst days of my life. Mum is still battling the awful disease to this day though she is the strongest and most courageous woman I know which has helped us all dramatically along the way.
We all take for granted our own health. Our ability to be the healthiest person we can be. Our ability to go for a walk whenever we want without worrying how much those steps are going to hurt. Our ability to eat and actually enjoy the taste of food without worrying if it is going to come back up or being forced to eat because it is that time of day to take your tablets. Our ability to sleep a restless night without thoughts running through your head worrying if I will get to see my children get married and have children of their own. These are the sorts of everyday living events we all don’t appreciate enough. It is sad that it takes a family member, a friend or your partner to get seriously ill to realise how blessed we are to be healthy.
I have to thank my Mum for who I am today. She has given me the energy to be the best person I can be to anyone and everyone I meet. You don’t know what someone else is going through so it is important to be kind to anyone. And when you are kind, your life is complete. Your kindness makes other people’s day which then makes them want to be kind and pass on to the next person and hopefully then that person passes it onto the next person and then all of a sudden you have a small percentage of much happier and kind people in the world.
My Mum will fight this as she has come so far already. I wanted to share this with you all as I know you all are so supportive and I can’t thank you enough. My Mum was a very healthy person and being healthy is important, but you never know what the day will bring know matter how healthy you are so live your life the way you are happiest.
Most of us relate health to exercise and eating habits but taking care of your skin is one of the biggest health factors and it is so important we all understand this if we want to live that healthy life forever. My passion and care for skin plays a huge part in my life due to my Mum going through skin cancer. We all have the chance to look after and prevent any health issues may that be internal or external by simply being sun smart and cautious of what we put in our bodies, how we treat our bodies and what we put on our bodies. If I can give advice and help a percentage of people be more aware of what they are using on their bodies on a daily basis or reminding them about how harmful the sun is then I am an extremely happy (happier) person!
Embrace each day and thank yourself for each day you are alive. We each live in our own beautiful worlds and our worlds can change in an instant which I have learnt. Be happy, love, smile, hug your family as often as you can and be true to yourself. Whatever that makes you happy, do it, now!

Truly inspiring Amy. What beautiful words from a beautiful daughter to her amazing and beautiful mother. Watching her fight her battles has made me take a giant leap towards becoming healthy and looking after my body. We only have one life so I want to cherish all the special moments with my three incredible girls. And watching my dad dying was the hardest moment in my life. Thank you so much for sharing xxx
I was shopping for some maternity clothes and came across one called Ripe Maternity. Is that model you? You look wonderful. I didn’t even realise you were pregnant. Congratulations!!
